Flood Victims still Crying for Help

They had a Black diwali this year... a monstorous winter for them has begun ... who are these .. yes they are our Indians ,who are forgotten. Two months after the worst floods in 50 years swept through the state, by the deadly kosi floods ... the Bihar flood victims..
- killing 191 people and rendering millions homeless
- around 90,000 people are still living in relief camps and over 3,000 are missing
- The Kosi floods destroyed entire villages and left nearly 35 lakh people without a home, many of them mourning a parent, a child, a relative or at least a fellow villager.
-The ministers have stop visiting them, as also the media.People are crying out for help out there...
The situation out there is still very grim and future of a thousands of children is at stake.

“Jagriti… Ek Pehal” a social service initiative.... by IMI, New delhi students
“There are only two rules to change: One is to begin; the second is to continue.”
Objective: To evoke the goodness within us and turn tears into smile of the society.
Our Values: Empathy, Selflessness, Utilitarianism, Integrity, Desire to serve.
Everybody thinks about changing the society but when it comes to doing, there is always a lacuna. So this is a step to evoke goodness and render our services to the society.
We aim to serve the society using the huge potential of IMI family.
Tentative events for the cell
Blood Donation Camp
Visit to old age and orphanage homes.
Various awareness campaigns like Health, Govt. Initiatives
NGO Summit
Volunteering help in NGO initiatives…………... lot lot more
Beneficiaries from this initiative:
Community: Helping it grow with conscious efforts, planning and implementation in right direction.
IMI: Helping convert its desires in CSR into action ....
Students:
To sensitize students by interaction with socially deprived people, generate empathy and self realization and thereby helping the society nurture throughout....
Help the students interact with corporate in facilitating their CSR.
Provide first hand experience and opportunity to serve the society
